VIDEO: Did Robredo & Bautista really meet in secret?

A video that was recently posted in the Facebook page of Daayang Matuwid on July 13, telling that Vice President Leni Robredo and Comelec Commissioner Chairman Bautista is having a secret meeting for the electoral protest of Senator Ferdinand "Bong-bong" Marcos Jr.


The said meeting was due to the filed case against Robredo; on July 12, the supreme court ordered Robredo to submit her reply regarding the electoral case filed by Marcos.

Alleged meeting was held at 10th floor, Urdaneta Apartments in Makati City, owned by a socialite, certain name Baby Cruz.

It's been spreading on social medias that Vice President Leni Robredo and Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman Andres Bautista were having a supposedly secret meeting.

They called the uploaded video as "malicious" as they were bashed online doing alleged secret meeting to topic the electoral protest of defeated Ferdinand "Bong-bong" Marcos Jr. but they both denied it and said they were on a party together with many guests.

“I attended a dinner party with maybe 40 guests. Comelec Chairman Bautista was there but I can’t remember discussing things with him. We just greeted each other but we did not talk,” Robredo said in a press briefing at the Quezon City Reception House on Thursday.

“It was a social gathering. The members of the diplomatic corps were there. We didn’t talk about politics… Nakapag-hi hello lang ako kay VP (VP and I just exchanged greetings)" Bautista stated.

“The secret meeting is not true. Maraming testigo (There are a lot of witnesses),” Baustista said in an interview over DZBB radio.
