VIDEO: Famous Horror Queen 'Lilia Cuntapay' dies at 81

Who could ever forget the famous aswang, white lady or multo 'ghost' she portrayed in every horror film like the series of Shake Rattle and Roll.



She started as an extra on her younger years in showbiz and made her first lead role in 2011 "mockumentary" independent movie, Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay. The said film won six awards in Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival where Cuntapay awarded as Best Actress.

Cuntapay was tagged as the "Queen of Philippine Horror Movies," and sadly died on Saturday at Pinili, Ilocos Norte, August 20 because of spinal cord illness.

The late actress was asking for help from the public and those in the showbiz, when she was still suffering from her illness, "Wala na ako sa showbiz dahil may sakit ako... Kung mahal niyo pa ako, any help will be appreciated," Cuntapay said. "I am not in showbiz anymore because I am sick... If you still love me, any help will be appreciated."
