Kadayawan Festival & Davao City's Attractions

Davao is the booming city of the south, it's located in the Southern part of Mindanao.

Mindanao is the fruit basket of the Philippines, where Davao City is also celebrating Kadayawan Festival, a festival celebrated every once a year during third week of August, it's a way of thanking the creator for the great abundance of blessings like the fruits, vegetables and flowers that Mindanaons have received.



The main highlight of the event are Indak-indak or street dancing and floral-floats parade, yearly held competition with allotted prizes for the contingents. Check it out this coming August 20 & 21 this year.

The first Mindanao president came from Davao City, President Rodrigo "Digong" Duterte is the longest-serving mayors in the Philippines and had served Davao City for more than 22 years.

  6. Sicao Falls in Tamayong- Get all your friends and challenge them for a trekking for 4-6 hours in Tamayong, Calinan and see their breathe-taking falls.

  7. Wild Water Rafting- If you are an adventurous type, try the extreme water sports in Davao river, a 3 1/2 hour experience of white water rafting starting from Barrio Tamugan in Calinan going to lowlands.
