Duterte asks FVR to have Peace talks in China

After favoring Philippines against China regarding the international tribunal's landmark decision of the disputed waters in West Philippine Sea, filed case in United Nation Convention on the Law of the Sea, President Rodrigo Duterte's next move is to have a peace talks in Beijing.





Duterte said he would ask the help of former President Fidel V. Ramos to have the talks regarding the country's disposition.

They were having a dinner event in Greenhills, San Juan City, Duterte together with his co-lawyers from San Beda College when President Duterte stated he had respectfully asked the former President Ramos to go to Beijing, China for the talks, for this bared issue that the country's facing.

Duterte spill the importance of the talks considering that it would be not only the Philippines' interests but its allies' as well.

But Ramos had not yet accepted the offer he said his "increasing age" and other commitments as considerations before he would undergo in taking on the task.
