Video: Hostage 'Marites Flor' Freed from Abu Sayyaf


The girlfriend of the beheaded Canadian victim Robert Hall, was freed on Thursday, June 23 but was only turned over to Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan II in early morning of Friday, June 24.


The incoming Presidential Adviser to the Peace Process Jesus Dureza said that “I received words that Flor had been released and the plan is to bring her to Davao, to incoming President Rodrigo Duterte. I am on my way to Jolo to pick up the released hostage, I’ll bring her to Davao to present her to Duterte,” Dureza said in an interview with Inquirer at the Zamboanga City International Airport.



“I came from Oslo and then I got word that our efforts to recover her from the Abu Sayyaf..yielded good results and I am here to pick her up,” he said.


In an interview with Flor she told the reporters that "Ginising lang ako ng madaling araw, sabi niya, Maritess gising ka tanggalin mo yong posas sa paa mo,sabi ko bakit? sabi niya ihahatid kita,
so yon lang...

"Gabi naglalakad kami ng mga isang...matagal, hindi ko kabisado ang lugar, wala akong alam kasi, hindi din nila sinasabi yong pangalan ng lugar." she added.

A reporter ask if she knows she will be freed..."hindi, ginising lang ako non."
