Duterte’s war on drugs is a great force to be reckoned with... While there are some noises coming from groups who are not in favour of Duterte’s method, still, majority of the people are supporting his way of crushing the ever massive problems of illegal drug trade, and we Filipinos, who are sick and tired of facing these problems everyday are ever praising and supporting the government’s effort in eliminating this monster that is going on for so many years.
Top Dog
Just recently, one of Central Visaya’s top drug lords surrendered to Gen. Bato Dela Rosa. Franz Sabalones, whom police tagged as the second top drug lord in Cebu second only to slained drug kingpin Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz, turned himself in on Sunday night. This is in relation to the 24-hour deadline that the president gave to politicians and uniformed men who are involved in the drug trade.
Franz however, was not on the President’s drug list. His younger brother, Fralz, vice mayor of San Fernando cried foul, saying, that he was just a victim of mistaken identity.
The Sabalones brothers then went to camp Crame last Monday morning. Franz, to admit being a drug lord and Fralz to clear his name, stating, that he is not involved in any of the allegations.
The right Hand
Dela Rosa revealed during the press conference that Franz was the former right hand of jaguar but eventually broke away from his group to directly deal with Peter Co (who is now in Bilibid) and a certain David Sy.
Asked why he surrendered, he meekly said “gusto kong magbago” (I want to change my ways) he said.
Delivery
A Delivery of 15 kilos is carried out in a high-end vehicle to avoid being detected by the operative enroute to Cebu. Upon arriving to Cebu, they will then go to Gaisano Mall and conduct the dealing and distribution at the parking area of the said mall, Franz said.
Protector
Dela Rosa also said that Franz told him that a “payola” of P200, 000. 00 is weekly given to a police colonel whom he refused to identify and that police personality has already been transferred to ARMM regional police.
Asked, what he would do if the said police is summoned to him he said “Baka mapatay ko yung colonel na ipapatawag. Hawakan ko sa leeg at baliin ko kapag nasa harap ko sya”. (I might kill this colonel, hold his neck and break it when he is in my face!) Franz, however, said that there are no other police personalities involved in the drug “payola” except for this police colonel.
