Who would ever thought that a simple badjao girl from Zamboanga City would turn herself in fame.
From a photo uploaded to social media and went viral, many have seen and captured her heart, a simple teenager yet beautiful Filipina.
She was just a street girl and a beggar before, “I got scared. I thought I would be arrested by the police for begging," Gaviola said.

Gaviola's brown skin color, natural beauty, her innocent face and stature captured the attention of the netizens in the social media and tagged her as the “Badjao Girl," and she is truly a one of a kind Filipina Beauty.
The badjao girl Gaviola grew up poor in their community and as a 13 year old, she already experienced eating a one regular meal a day. Eating with boiled cassava and fish is already a blessing for them.
“We can’t afford to eat three times a day. Rice and viand for us is a luxury,” Badjao girl's mother said.
Gaviola got 5 siblings and a parents who did not go to school.
Their family is from Zamboanga City, they first went to Bacoor City, Cavite province, before coming to Barangay Barra.
“I don’t want them children to beg. But hunger forces us,” her father said.
“I want to finish my studies and be a teacher someday. I want to help my siblings and the other Badjao kids to get education,” Gaviola stressed.
Like anybody else, she dreamed to become one and auditioned, she also undergone the long hours of waiting for auditioning like the other regular teenagers, however get lucky enough to be picked as one of the teen housemates of Abs-Cbn.
And now she is ready to prove herself to the world...
