During the visit of President Rodrigo Digong Duterte at the 3rd Infantry Division headquarters in Jamindan, Capiz, he promised to the harmed soldiers that he would give the necessary training for them to be employed at the call centers.
President Duterte said, “Sa lahat nang naka-wheelchair, start, because I’ll send you to schools. Sabi ko balik kayo sa AB. Pa-eskwelahin ko kayo, learn English, voice and diction tapos improve on your grammar. Ipasok ko kayo sa call centers."
“Sabi ko, hindi ko kayo pababayaan,” he added.
Duterte stated again what he has committed to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) that soldiers should be given the best medical equipment and a new building for their medical needs.
Digong showed his full support to the soldiers of the Philippines and said, “The machines there are bought immediately, ayaw ko ng buwanan, araw lang ako. May bagong building kayo."
“Kung nandoon kayo sa AFP, kapag gusto mo magpahinga ka muna...ang ospital ngayon, parang hotel. Tsaka may magsilbi sa inyong mga magagandang babae naka-shorts," the president boast.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Duterte visited the AFP General Hospital in Quezon City, where he also met impaired soldiers.
As we have known Duterte as being tough, but when he met and hugged Lieutenant Jerome Jacuba he became teary-eyed. The 28-year-old soldier who lost his sight after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded during a mission in Maguindanao and unfortunately he got totally blind.
And as we could see it, Duterte would really want to give more; much love for his country and fellowmen.
