Cayetano defends Duterte's Administration on its allegedly ExtraJudicial Killings

The Presidential running mate Senator Alan Peter Cayetano came to the rescue of President Duterte on his wage against the illegal drug Trade. Duterte together with the PNP have been attracting criticisms on their war against drugs. THE CHR calls them blatantly ignoring due process in their campaign on the illegal drugs.

Cayetano came to rescue Duterte saying that the media and the CHR blatantly ignoring the effects of the wage against drugs by the Duterte administration. He said because of these, people feel safer and the renewed trust on the PNP and AFP personnel can not be discounted as well. He added that despite of the decrease of the daily murder and homicide cases the Duterte administration continues to be criticized this is in comparison to the Aquino administration. He showed very factly that 34 homicide cases on 2010; 32 in 2011; 32 in 2012; 44 in 2013; 36 in 2014; 34 in 2015;and 30 from Jan to June 2016.

The senator pointed out since Duterte taken seat, the average is only around 20 per day. He said that a third of that average are now saved because of the relentless efforts of the PNP. He further added that using the words extra judicial killings is loosely used by the Duterte critics. He cited that former President Aquino once gave an administrative order issued saying that "killings related to common criminals and/or peeps.

And/or perpetration of their crimes" is not considered an extra judicial killings. He said that from the beginning of this hearing he has heard of so many numbers which he said did they even made clarifications of its veracity. He further said that the public should be grateful on the decline of criminalities against property since Duterte commenced his campaign against illegal drugs. Because of the massive surrenders this has an umbrella effect on the crimes which are normally done by the ones who surrendered.

These sentiments by the running mate of Duterte was aired out on Monday in looks like a counter to De Lima's launched investigation against the killings. DeLima's opening remarks for the senate hearing mentioned of the killings in relation to the wage of war against drugs by Duterte and it reached a point where it is disturbing already. De Lima added also that extra legal killings is in itself a disrespect to human life, whether it was done by government personnel or not.
