One of the greatest attribute a person can have is Humility, a genuine characteristic without any shade of hypocrisy.
As the Holy Bile says in proverbs 29:23- A man’s pride shall bring him low, but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
Too many times we have encountered people and personalities who are full of themselves, people who lift themselves too high only to hear the sound of a big “thud” as they finally fall from the fickle pedestal of success they have created or we're created for them. Such people will never be the same.
The true meaning of success is not how you started but how you finish, and finished it well.
Much to our surprise, our beloved President Duterte released a directive on Thursday ordering all government units not to address him “His Excellency”.
Call me “President” only, he ordered, and” Secretary” for all the cabinet members, not “Honourable”.
President Duterte has been known to most of the Davaoenos to be a level headed person, people in Davao could easily get access to him, people who are looking for help could easily find it in him whether it be medical finances, food or even legal help, whatever it is , as long as it is a legitimate need and no matter how busy he is, he will be there for his people, ready to reach out his hand because he loves them, they are the main reason for his aspirations, they are the reason that even at his age of 71, he felt it in his heart the need to run for the highest office of the land not for his own selfish agenda, like the other candidates do, but it was because he heard the cry of his people, the cry of desperation, the cry of “who is there to help us in this mess we are in”
For years, the people in this country is trying to find a leader who could relate to them, many a Presidents have come and gone but not one of them were able to touch the lives of the ordinary citizen as much as President Rodrigo Duterte has.
There are many more good things we can say about this man that pages are not enough to contain but here’s one thing about him that is undoubtedly clear.... Our President is a humble President!
He’s always been, and always will be.
Thank you! Mr. President!
