Amok cop who went on a rage at the MPD headquarters, he wants to kill Erap

The new chief of the Manila Police District has ordered tests done to determine whether a policeman who went on a rampage at the MPD headquarters July 03, 2016, Sunday afternoon, forcing a lockdown, was drunk or high on drugs.


The heads of the units or precincts where the suspect, Police Officer 1 Vincent Paul Bulacan Solares, were also summoned on orders of Senior Supt. Joel Coronel, the MPD chief.


A shot was heard from inside the Manila Police district headquarters on UN Avenue shortly past 3pm Sunday, and initial radio reports said two policemen had run amuck for still unclear reasons. The MPD promptly went on lockdown mode, but in just 15 minutes, officers had seized a uniformed cop identified as PO1 Solares.


All the while, a man's voice was heard shouting and a reporter on the scene said it apparently belonged to one of the policeman who had become violent.


As of 3:24 pm, police from SWAT snatched a man wearing a cop's uniform. Another man in civilian clothes wearing a brown jacket was not taken in, as it appeared he was not with the cop gone amuck, according to a live radio report.


The MPD's new district director, Senior Supt. Joel Coronel, known as the heads of various precincts in which Solares served, to ascertain his work background and character, in line with a follow-up record by way of DZBB's Manny Vargas.


Coronel additionally ordered MPD probers to conduct an exam on Solares to decide if he become under the influence of alcohol or excessive on drugs while he went wild. Solares might also have a severe personal problem; or a psychiatric hassle.


Solares' stunt stuck MPD police through wonder because people who noticed him input the HQ said he was smiling, appeared best, or even greeted police officers on responsibility at the reception region.


At the second one ground, but, he went wild, breaking glass on the rows of picture frames on show. He then took out and partly tore photos of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada -- whom he reportedly wanted to kill -- and of 3 former MPD.
