Davao City- Children of the incoming President Rodrigo Duterte, Mayor Sara and Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte took their oaths for the mayoralty and vice mayoralty of Davao City , Monday, June 20; 10 days before their father's inauguration day this coming June 30.
Mayor Sara "Inday" Duterte-Carpio took her oath before Regional Trial Court Branch 16 Executive Judge Emmanuel Carpio accompanied by her husband Atty. Manasis Carpio and her mother Elizabeth Zimmerman while his brother Paolo "Pulong" Duterte, on his second term, took his oath before Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 7 Judge Rufino Ferraris Jr. also accompanied by his wife, children & mother and was held in RTC courtroom.
Sara was the mayor of Davao City from 2010 to 2013 and won again on a landslide votes of 576,230 and his elder brother Paolo got 522, 119 votes in the vice mayoral race.
In an interview, Paolo said that his father had only one word of advice for him and his sister “magbinuotan (be good).”
