Duterte: The Great Father of Davao City

Who is Rodrigo Duterte as a father?

To his children:

Having known as a father of four to Paolo "Pulong" Duterte", Sara "Inday" Duterte, Sebastian "Baste" from her ex-wife Elizabeth Zimmerman and Veronica"Kitty" Duterte from his long time partner Honeylet Avanceña, the outgoing mayor of Davao City is as an ordinary and simple father to their children.

A good provider and a disciplinarian father to his children, Sarah once recalls how her father “sounded like a broken record” during her childhood years and keep on repeating that “education is everything.”

Sara is now the incoming Mayor of Davao City while his eldest brother Pulong is the incoming Vice mayor of the place while his father will the assume Malacañang this 30th of June.

Duterte was also tagged as the punisher but once told his children as Baste recalled it “My dad just wants us to be good at how we treat people.”

Remembering their grandfather the late Governor Duterte, "My father said his dad was very honest, he was extremely kind, sometimes too honest.

Baste was asked by a reporter, "What is his Father’s Day wish for his dad? “I wish for him to enjoy his work,” then chuckled.

The incoming president wants his children to live a normal life, be educated, become a good example and acquire a proper values.

To the residence of Davao City:

For almost 3 decades of being on the mayoralty of being a dedicated Mayor of Davao City, Duterte was like a protector and the ultimate hero of his city.

Because he cared so much, he would even drives in a taxi cab just touring around the city at night time for checking any possible problem occurring in his city or riding on his motorcycle while catching some bad drivers who do not follow the city's speed limit. And also checking some minors who is still out during curfews and some people who's smoking and drinking in prohibited time and place. He just want to know what is happening around the city and making sure Davao is still on its peaceful state while everyone is on their deep sleep.

A taxi driver told Manila Bulletin “He’s like a father to us," relating the times when Duterte would park at the Ecoland Bus Terminal where bunch of taxi drivers parked while waiting for  the arrival of passengers from other parts of Mindanao.

He said that “He would ask us how we are, then buy foodstuff to distribute to us while we talk until the passengers start arriving”.

Definitely, Duterte is a man of power and hated criminals but still has a soft heart for everyone who wants to change.

He's a Great Father isn't he??!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TATAY DIGONG!!! <3
