He was scrutinized when he left Cleveland and celebrated when he came back. James has been struggling for the past two years for that elusive NBA Championship until on 19 June 2016 which he and the rest of the Cavaliers made history. It was history in the making as the Cavs fought the implausible come back from 3 – 1 against an equally talented and skilled Golden State Warriors.

It was history because it was the first ever NBA Championship for the Cavs’ NBA franchise history. It was history because the GSW has just sat a conference record of 73 victories in one season. James distributed a phenomenal 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to put him to be at least one of the best players in NBA Finals history. Although James was named the Finals’ MVP, the relentless contribution of Kyrie Irving especially at the dying seconds of game 7, sealed the game for the Cavs.
